YFL Scotch yoke pneumatic actuators are suitable for ball valves, butterfly valves and plug valves which need 90 degree rotation to open or close.
There are two types of scotch yoke pneumatic actuators: symmetrical type and inclined type. Symmetrical type scotch yoke pneumatic actuator which has very large starting torque and low operating torque is more suitable for butterfly valves. And inclined type scotch yoke pneumatic actuator which has more balanced output torque is more suitable for ball valves and plug valves.
YFL scotch yoke pneumatic actuator working principle:
1. Compressed air enters the cylinder to push the piston to do linear motion;
2. The piston's linear motion will be converted to the yoke's angular motion by transmission structures of the yoke pin and yoke groove;
3. The yoke's angular motion will drive the output shaft to rotate the valve.
