YFL Abrasion resistant ceramic ball valves are mainly composed of body, bonnet, stem, ball, seat and body lining. The body, bonnet and stem are made of carbon steel, stainless steel or special alloy according to working conditions. And the ball, seat and body lining are made of different ceramic materials according to specific applications. Normally the ball is made of ZrO2 ceramic duo to higher flexural strength than Al2O3 and the seat and body lining is made of 99% Al2O3 ceramic duo to higher hardness than ZrO2.
There are also other ceramic material like Si3N4 and Sic are available for higher temperature and other special working conditions.
The ceramic ball and ceramic seat are machined precisely to make sure the ceramic to ceramic seal achieve zero leakage.
The hardness of ceramic is about seven times higher than stainless steel, that is why the service life of ceramic ball valves is much longer than stainless steel valves. With long service life, the maintenance cost is reduced a lot and the pipeline system works more stable, then the shutdown time and shutdown loss are also reduced dramatically.
There are many solid residue in the paper pulp such as staples, plastic, sand and stone etc. To solve the abrasion problem happened in normal steel valves, YFL ceramic ball valves are used in paper mills to control the flow of paper pulp, it is approved that the ceramic V-port ball valves can regulate the abrasive paper pulp accurately and stably with much longer working life than steel valves.
