YFL Pilot operated pressure relief valve is constituted by one main valve and one pilot valve. The pilot valve is activated by the change of medium pressure, and the main valve is controlled by the pilot valve.
YFL Pilot operated safety valves working principle:
When the medium is lower than the set pressure, the discs of both main valve and pilot valve are closed. The system pressure is transfered from the inlet of main valve to the chamber above the piston of main valve through the pilot supply line. The area of piston is larger than the disc selaing area, so there will be a force press the disc to make the disc closed and sealed.
When the medium pressure is higher than the set pressure, the pilot valve will be opened, the medium in the chamber above the piston will be discharged from the pilot valve. And duo to the filter in the pilot supply line, the medium under the pistion will be discharged slower. Then the pressure under the piston will be higher than the pressure above the pistion, the disc of main valve will be opened. The medium will be discharged through outlet of main valve quickly.
