YFL U shape seat bidirectional seal knife gate valves have a integral U shape seat inserted into the groove of the body.
When close the valve, the bottom of the gate first contact the U shape seat, and compress the seat into the bottom of the groove. Then the gate is sealed in both directions, bidirectional seal is achieved.
When open the valve, the gate separate from the U shape seat, and the flexible seat bounce back to the same level as the groove. So the groove is filled by the seat, no space for medium accumulation, no clogging and easy for pipe cleaning.
